Privacy & Analytics Update: Data Accuracy and Your Control

To provide server administrators and users with more accurate insights, we are updating our data collection policy. This change is essential for the upcoming "Biography" features and more precise server activity reports.

What is Changing?

By default, the system will now record the following metrics to ensure analytics remain consistent:

• Message Statistics: We track the fact that a message was sent, but never its content or attachments.
• Voice Activity: Duration of time spent in voice channels.
• Command Usage: Analytics on which bot commands are being utilized.
• General Activity: Status updates (e.g., changing your profile picture), though your specific games or status text are not tracked by default.

Your Privacy Matters

We believe in total transparency. Even with these updates, your data remains protected:

• Default Anonymity: Unless you explicitly enable Publicity in your profile settings, you will appear as an "Unknown User" in all public server reports.
• Restricted Access: Neither server administrators nor other users can see your specific message counts, voice details, or command history unless you choose to share them.
• Biography Preview: These changes lay the groundwork for a future update where you'll be able to view your own journey and "biography" within the Wolium ecosystem.

Action Recommended

No settings were changed for existing registered users. However, if you'd like to support your favorite servers' leaderboards or see your own detailed stats in the future, we recommend visiting your Settings and enabling the analytics you're interested in.
